One of these major explorations we’ve been involved in this year has been in how to effectively make the most well-laid out user contributed article database in existence. We wanted it to be something that would be laid out very professionally, yet be very easy to use, so that you can concentrate on writing your articles or shooting your videos, rather than knowing coding or posting needs. While we’ve tested a few different solutions, the one that has proven itself most successful is essentially a world-within-a-world solution. By having a user submitted content world, as well as a professionally submitted content world, both within the DGM, you’ll be able to access new content easily and not be at all confused where it originated.
After months of work, we’re very close to unveiling the first of these inner worlds, the DarkestGoth Contributor Article Database (or “CADB”). This new database will allow you to submit articles, film reviews, and video articles directly and easily. Eventually, it will permit the submission of tutorial articles, video reviews, and a variety of other content. And because of the database system employed, it’s planned that you’ll be able to subscribe to these paths, updated as soon as new content arrives!

Autoformatting of reviews means that user-submissions will be able to look just as nice and professional as our staff creations.
In the future, you’ll also be able to subscribe to the DarkestGoth Official Content DataBase (or “OCDB”). Writers who want to transition from Contributors to DG Staff will only have to write and post three well done articles in the CADB and then contact us for a final deadline-test article.
