NAMM 2019: DarkestGoth Girl 2019, Karen St. Claire, received a DarkestGoth press pass to cover NAMM 2019. She brought along her production crew and met up with a few friends along the way. This year the show began at 10 am on Thursday January 24th and ended at 5 pm on Sunday January 27th. We had the opportunity to stop in for a few hours on both Friday and Saturday.
Although we did not have a chance to cover all of the fabulous opportunities, we are very pleased with the coverage that we were able to get. Featuring some of the Greatest Goth Music Artists ever…with songs like Close My Eyes Forever, a Lita Ford and Ozzy Osbourne duet, Don’t Fear the Reaper by Blue Oyster Cult, and Man in the Box by Alice in Chains, it was a pleasure to be there!… and…. for all of you in MusiCares, the opportunity to continue the signature recipe series continues. Special thanks to Kahler, Peavey, and NAMM for bringing it all together! …and for all of you industry insiders…. The NAMM show’s motto is “Believe in Music”. It is a convention that brings the music industry together in a trade show fashion. Located on the same strip as Walt Disneyland, The Anaheim Convention Center’s Winter NAMM has everything a musician could ask for when searching for gear. From exhibitors featuring their latest product innovations, to timeless standard equipment found readily on display, endorsed artists come together to meet and greet the masses. Live concert performances are abundant and audio networking is an added boost. Safe harbor meetings, musical instrument demonstrations, technology events, audio production, education, marketing tips, and tutorials can be found here. Once the clock strikes 6pm (5 pm on Sunday), there are plenty of after parties and concerts to choose from! There is never a dull moment at this 4 day event.
