Disko Anksiyete takes one back to the 80’s in more ways than just one. In addition to a hefty Sisters of Mercy influence, there is a very strong new wave influence, e.g. A Flock of Seagulls and Nena. The album does not, however, recycle old material. She Past Away keeps the old elements sounding new and fresh and relevant, as well as insanely dance-able.

Wisborg: From the Cradle to the Coffin [ALBUM REVIEW]

Wisborg actually delivers a “gothic” project that would make sense being grouped with the early greats like the Sisters of Mercy and Fields of the Nephilim – and that with a front man under 25! Classic goth-rock, also called post-punk, is bass-driven but Wisborg achieves the effect by playing the low strings on heavily distorted electric guitars and/or with keyboards rather than a bass guitar.
