Tracy Whiteside Photography: Every Day is Halloween [PHOTOGRAPHER GALLERY]

Not every girl wants to wear fluffy dresses and pink.  Some girls want to wear black leather.  I was one of those girls.  I found a kindred spirit when teaching theatre.  Ella Weasler is not only a talented actor and singer, but she is also experimental when it comes to the way she dresses.  Ella did her own hair and makeup, and also came up with her own poses.  You can see other images of her and her friends here.

We shot in my studio because it is freaking cold in Chicago during the winter.  Ella and I are waiting impatiently for the warm weather so we can shoot outside.

  1. I love the corridor one on your website. It has an insane asylum look to it. Really creepy. Working in artist development, in this photo shoot, the photo with the bell sleeves hands out, I imagine would be way cool as a skyscraper tall high priestess sorceress standing at a sinister podium above a congregation of red hooded cloaked robed beings sitting in pews. Put a dark shadow behind the girl reminescent of St. Louis Cathedral statue of Jesus in New Orleans. Perhaps add in some shadowy tree branches so it looks like an outdoor ceremony. Then turn it into a black and white photo and color select the red robes. Just a wicked suggestion…. Lovely work!
