The Goth Prom 2013 was held at The Rudyard Kipling 422 Oak St in Louisville on Saturday May 25, 2013.

The event was organized by Count Grozny and Rev Spook, who DJ’d the event, providing the awesome music we love that kept everyone dancing all night.

Buddy Revell was the friendly host that kept the love flowing all evening, while Maria Barnard photographed beautiful prom pictures for the event.

The Rudyard Kipling is a great venue and everyone was so friendly. It is by no mistake that the prom was so successful. The people I have always dealt with in the different parts of the Louisville Community have always been friendly, open and inclusive at the variety of events they organize.

I have always loved and appreciated that they quite often travel to other cities in this region to enjoy and support other events in the community; the love was definitely reciprocated at this event.

I noticed a lot of people from several other communities taking part in this celebration, so the place was packed, with everyone talking, dancing and having fun; I found myself catching up with a couple people I haven’t seen in a while.

The Atmosphere

The first thing I noticed when I arrived to the prom was the friendly upbeat atmosphere. The downstairs walls and tables were beautifully decorated in a Goth Prom theme, with pink and black balloons, different types of festive lighting and a cake for the prom. Maria Barnard was downstairs in her Goth Prom photo set up taking beautiful photos of guests as they came into her area.

Count Grozny and Rev Spook did the music right, so the dance floor was packed all night. It is hard to leave the floor when the DJs at a club play the music you love until closing!

The back patio, however, was a great place to take a break from the action and catch up with family and friends. I went to the Goth Prom with friends from Cincinnati and I had a blast with them and everyone I came in contact with at this event.

The Goth Prom 2013 in Louisville was a great event.

The Louisville Community has always been friendly to not just our own community, but to a number of other compatible communities.

As such, if you’re in this region of the country, you should check out one of their upcoming events; you will have fun, dance to awesome music and meet some great people.
